Chiropractic care in Caringbah
Thoughtful, hands-on chiropractic care tailored to you, your body and your goals.
What I Can Help With
-
Neck pain and stiffness, headaches/migraines, jaw (TMJ) and orofacial pain, jaw tension, clicking and restricted movement, and muscular tension around the head, neck and jaw.
-
Lower and mid-back pain, sciatica and related leg symptoms, hip and pelvic pain, muscular aches and stiffness, and pregnancy-related lower back, hip and pelvic discomfort.
I also work with people experiencing training-related soreness, stiffness and mobility restrictions, helping support comfortable movement and recovery alongside their usual training.
-
Chiropractic care doesn't have to stop at the spine. I particularly enjoy working with peripheral joints and their surrounding muscles and soft tissues — including the shoulders, elbows, wrists, hands, knees, ankles and feet.
This may include presentations such as shoulder and rotator cuff pain, rib and chest-wall musculoskeletal pain, tennis or golfer's elbow, forearm and wrist pain, repetitive-strain presentations, knee pain and stiffness, shin pain, and ankle pain or instability.
-
Sometimes there isn't one obvious painful joint — you simply feel stiff, tight or restricted in your body.
Care may also be appropriate for general muscular tension, reduced mobility, movement-related discomfort, postural concerns and persistent musculoskeletal aches and pains.
Treatment can also support people wanting to move more comfortably and maintain their mobility alongside work, training and everyday life.
What Treatment Can Look Like
No two bodies — or appointments — are exactly the same.
After 12 years in practice, one thing I've learnt is that treatment works best when it is tailored to the person in front of me. Your care will depend on what you're presenting with, your preferences and what feels appropriate for you on the day.
Treatment may look a little different from one appointment to the next, but may include:
Hands-on chiropractic adjustments
Drop-piece or instrument-assisted techniques
Joint mobilisation
Soft tissue and trigger-point therapy
Myofascial release and cupping
Dry needling
IASTM / gua sha
Taping
Movement and rehabilitation exercises
We'll talk through your options and what feels appropriate for you before treatment begins.
I'm Yuleena, a chiropractor with 12 years of clinical experience and a love of understanding how the body moves, adapts and responds to care.
I completed a Bachelor of Science in Anatomy and Physiology at the University of Sydney, followed by a Master of Chiropractic and Graduate Diploma in Chiropractic Science at Macquarie University. My career has taken me from the Southern Highlands and Goulburn, across to Perth and the Pilbara in Western Australia, and now back home to Sydney.
Those years, and the many different people I've had the privilege of treating, have shaped the way I practise today. I take a thoughtful, whole-body approach to care and believe treatment works best when it is tailored to the individual rather than following the same formula for everyone.
Movement and training have also been a big part of my own life. I've trained in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, competed in CrossFit, and continue to strength train, so I understand how important it can be to keep doing the things you love while looking after your body. Over the years I've treated people from a wide range of active backgrounds, including martial artists, CrossFit athletes and gym-goers, as well as horse riders and people working physically demanding jobs on farms and in regional Australia.
I'm endlessly curious about the human body and continue to learn, with particular interests in the jaw and TMJ, cranial work, movement and the relationship between the nervous and musculoskeletal systems.
I created True North as a space where I could practise this way; time to listen, think, treat thoughtfully and adapt care to the person in front of me.
Outside the clinic, you'll usually find me hiking, training, line dancing, somewhere near the ocean, or making a pot of traditional Chinese herbal soup. Dragon fruit is one of my favourite fruits and eating two a day might just make me live forever.
